Parkinson’s is a debilitating disease with no cure currently. However, the development of new drugs can take up to 10 years with a low success rate. Participant recruitment for 3 phases of clinical trials required for drug development is challenging and often extremely inefficient.
TriSimpli aims to minimize the inefficiencies by helping patients connect with clinical trials that fit their profile and needs easily and streamlining the participant recruitment process.
UX designer
I actively took part in ideation process and research on digital healthcare companies that use patient medical data. I was in charge of branding, UX designing dashboard UX and creating the interactive prototype.
"If there was a good trial that I'd qualify for, I'd be willing to fly out of town. And a lot of my friends with Parkinson's would 'come running' as well."

Clinical trials fail to enroll patients on time
Current clinical trial matching platforms fail to meet original patient enrollment requirements
Clinical trials never get started due to chronic lack of participants
Patients are seeking to enroll in clinical trials but finding ones that fit their needs and qualifications is challenging. Patients experience frustrations when reading through a long list of inclusion and exclusion criteria and applying to just be informed that they are not qualified. Whereas, research labs are desperate to find participants. While participant recruitment is a costly process that takes a long time, many trials fail to find sufficient participants on time.
